Association Discovery

Flag

Open for discovery

Open for discovery — makes your association visible to the public!

When enabled, your association appears in the EKKOU discovery section. People browsing the EKKOU platform can find your association, view its public profile, and request to join or register directly depending on your registration settings.

Consejos!

Enable this only when your association is ready to receive new members. Keep it disabled while you are still configuring categories and contribution rules.
Flag

Accepts direct registration

Accepts direct registration — members can register themselves!

When enabled (together with Open for discovery), people who discover your association can register themselves directly without any administrator action. They select a category that has the Open flag enabled, fill in their information, and become members immediately.

Importante!

For this to work, at least one member category must also have its Open flag enabled. See Member Categories for details.

Member settings

Flag

Publicar lista de miembros

Publish members list — members can see each other!

When enabled, all members of the association can view the complete member directory in their EKKOU mobile app. They can see other members' names and basic profile information.

Consejos!

If you also enable 'Display member contacts', members will see phone numbers and addresses as well. Keep this disabled for privacy-sensitive associations.
Flag

Display member contacts

Display member contacts — share phone numbers with all members!

When enabled, members can see the contact information (phone number, address) of other members in the directory. This requires 'Publish Members list' to also be enabled.
Flag

Eliminación de miembro

Delete related members when parent is deleted!

When enabled, deleting a primary (sponsor) member automatically deletes all their dependent (related/sponsored) members. When disabled, dependent members remain in the system when their sponsor is deleted — they lose their sponsor link but keep their membership.

Importante!

Be careful with this setting. Enabling it means a single delete action can remove multiple members. It is best suited for associations where dependent members have no independent existence without their sponsor (e.g. family member associations).

Finance settings

Flag

Préstamos

Lending — does your association lend money to members?!

When enabled, the lending feature is activated. Administrators can record loans given to members as individual contributions. Members can then track their loan repayment in their mobile app.

Consejos!

To use lending: enable this flag, create a non-periodical contribution type for loans, then add individual contributions from each borrowing member's profile.
Flag

Mostrar los gastos a los Miembros

Show expenses — make expense records visible to members!

When enabled, members can see the association's expense records in their EKKOU mobile app. This promotes financial transparency within the association.

Consejos!

Enable this to promote transparency and trust with your members. The expenses are read-only for members — they can only view records, not add or modify them.
Flag

Member deposit and pay before validation

Members can use their deposit balance before it is validated!

When enabled, a member can use their pending (unvalidated) deposit balance to pay contributions. The contribution payment will be confirmed automatically when the finance officer validates the deposit. When disabled, members can only pay contributions once their deposit is already validated.

Automatización de Contribuciones

Automatic contribution generation!

When enabled, EKKOU automatically generates the next period's contribution at the end of each period for all periodical contribution types that have default amounts configured. This saves you from manually creating the same contribution every month.

Consejos!

  • Se preestablecerá para todas las categorías y todas las contribuciones
  • Puedes cambiarlo en el formulario de creación de contribuciones
  • Only works for contribution types marked as Periodical with amounts set

Período de cuarentena

Quarantine period — grace months before losing privileges!

The quarantine period (in months) is how long a member can remain unpaid before losing their privileges in the association. For example, a quarantine of 3 months means a member is flagged as delinquent only after 3 full months of unpaid contributions.
Ejemplo práctico

If your quarantine is set to 3 months and dues are monthly: a member who misses January, February, and March is still in good standing until they also miss April. From April onwards they are in quarantine and may lose voting rights or other privileges depending on your association's rules.

Informes de reuniones

Review meeting reports before publication!

When enabled, meeting reports require review and approval by a designated validator before they are published to members. When disabled (default), meeting reports saved by any administrator are published immediately.

Consejos!

By default, all summaries saved will be directly published. Enable review if your association requires a Secretary or President to approve minutes before distribution.

Notification settings

1

Unpaid contribution notifications

When enabled, EKKOU automatically sends reminder notifications to members who have unpaid contributions. You can configure the frequency (weekly or monthly) and the day/time of sending.

2

Birthday notifications

When enabled, EKKOU sends a birthday message to members on their birthday. A great way to maintain engagement with your community.

3

New member notifications

When enabled, administrators receive a notification every time a new member joins the association — either added by an admin or via self-registration.

4

Deposit and payment notifications

Configure whether admins are notified when members initiate deposits or make contribution payments.
