The deposit is recorded with the amount, date, and payment method (Mobile Money, bank transfer, cash, etc.).
The deposit is in Pending status. If your configurations allow it, the member can already use the pending funds to pay contributions.
Once the finance officer confirms receipt of the physical payment, they validate the deposit in the admin panel.
As soon as the deposit is validated, all contribution payments made using that deposit are confirmed simultaneously.
Navigate to the Members list and click on the member you want to credit.
Click the "Add deposit" button in the member's deposits section.
Enter the amount received and select how the payment was made (Mobile Money, bank transfer, cash, cheque).
Deposits made by a finance officer are automatically validated — they go directly to confirmed status.

The member logs in to their EKKOU app and goes to the Deposits section.
The member enters the amount they are sending and the payment method. This creates a pending deposit record in the system.
The finance officer sees the pending deposit and validates it once they confirm receipt of the payment.
If enabled in configurations, the member can immediately use their pending deposit to pay contributions. Payments will be confirmed when the deposit is validated.
Member initiates a deposit from the mobile app
Every deposit has a status that determines whether it has been confirmed and can be used for contribution payments.
The deposit has been initiated (by the member or finance officer) but not yet validated. The member can use pending funds to pay contributions if the 'Member deposit and pay before validation' setting is enabled.
The finance officer has confirmed the deposit. All contribution payments made with this deposit are simultaneously confirmed.
